The Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) and the Excellence Cluster SCALE – Subcellular Architecture of LifE invite applications for several Independent Research Group Leader positions in theoretical and computational life sciences.

SCALE aims to develop digital twins of subcellular architecture and advance our understanding of cellular organization and disease-related processes. We seek outstanding researchers ready to build an ambitious, internationally visible program in areas such as:

• Computational modeling of biological systems
• AI and machine learning for imaging, omics, and structural data
• Human–machine interfaces and LLM-based scientific tools
• Integrative structural and computational cell biology
• Digital twin concepts for life sciences

Candidate Profile
