We are thrilled to invite you to the SCALE-it Best PhD Award 2025 Celebration—a special event honoring outstanding scientific achievements and interdisciplinary collaboration.This year, the SCALE-it Scientific Board proudly recognizes three exceptional dissertations selected from a highly competitive, multidisciplinary pool of candidates. These awards reflect the excellence and diversity of our vibrant research community:

  • Olivia Pfeil-Gardiner – Best Method Development

  • Jakob Silberberg, PhD – Best Interdisciplinary Work

  • Huaipeng Xing, PhD – Best Scientific Contribution

    • As part of the award ceremony, we are delighted to welcome two distinguished guest speakers: Phillip Stansfeld (University of Warwick)A leading computational biophysicist whose group investigates bacterial membrane proteins and developed MemProtMD, a key resource for membrane protein–lipid interactions. Christoph Spahn (University of Würzburg)An expert in advanced single-molecule imaging (SMLM, STED, and live-cell microscopy), leveraging AI to address complex biological questions.🎉
