This course offers you

∘ Techniques for approaching your supervisor with a tricky topic
∘ Ways to handle criticism in meetings and during talks
∘ An approach to give your supervisor feedback
∘ Strategies for dealing with imposter syndrome

Nobody expects a doctorate to be easy. However, building a strong relationship with your supervisor(s) can greatly smooth the path to a successful defense. In this workshop, we explore the different challenges to developing a strong, mutually respectful relationship with your supervisor so that you can more easily master the challenges your research puts in your path. We will practice how to navigate tricky conversations, deal with criticism, offer feedback and diffuse imposter syndrome.

The highly interactive workshop allows you to learn in small groups, work on participant case studies, and roleplay challenging conversations.
