Prof. Dr. Nobuhiro Yanai from the University of Tokyo, Japan will give a presentation titled
Prof. Dr. Nobuhiro Yanai’s lab at the University of Tokyo explores new functional chemistry in photo-excited states. The group focuses on triplet–triplet annihilation-based photon upconversion (TTA-UC) with applications in renewable energy, photodynamic therapy, and optogenetics. They are also advancing dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) to enable room-temperature hyperpolarization of biomolecules for cutting-edge NMR and MRI technologies. Additionally, the lab is developing molecular qubits for quantum sensing, aiming to contribute to the second quantum revolution.
The colloquium will take place at Campus Riegberg, Lecture Hall B3, Biocenter on July 17th, starting at 5:15 PM.
Ahead of the presentation, light refreshments will be served.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event.
