The Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry (IPTC) is pleased to welcome Prof. Jürgen Hauer (Technical University of Munich) for a colloquium lecture entitled:
“Ultrafast Dynamics in Photosynthetic Pigments and Pigment–Protein Complexes: Insights and Method Development”
The talk will present recent advances in ultrafast spectroscopy and their application to understanding energy-transfer processes in photosynthetic systems, with a focus on chlorophylls and carotenoids. Prof. Hauer will also introduce new spectroscopic methods that provide deeper insight into light-harvesting and photoprotective mechanisms in complex biological environments.
