We are delighted to invite you to this year’s FIAS Laureatus Fellow Award Lecture and Ceremony, taking place on the afternoon of Wednesday, 10 September at FIAS.
This year’s award will honor Prof. Ben Feringa (University of Groningen), renowned Dutch chemist and recipient of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his groundbreaking work on the design and synthesis of molecular machines.
As part of the award ceremony, Ben Feringa will give a lecture entitled “The Art of Building Small”. We would be delighted if you join us at this great event and fill the lecture hall together with our guests from politics, donors, and the scientific community.
Prof. Feringa is internationally recognized for pioneering work in molecular nanoscience. His research explores dynamic molecular systems inspired by nature, including molecular motors, switches, and responsive materials, as well as groundbreaking contributions to asymmetric catalysis and stereochemistry.
