Dr. Nicola De Franceschi, Principal Investigator at the Membrane Machines Laboratory at IIMol PAS in Warsaw, will present his research on “Hydration/dehydration cycles induce growth, division, macromolecules encapsulation and cell-level crowding in protocells”. His work combines synthetic biology, membrane biophysics, and origin-of-life research to explore how protocells can grow, divide, and concentrate biomolecules within minimal membrane systems.
Venue: Biocenter / Campus Riedberg, seminar room N100 / 0.15
